It seems that there are not mass casualties. It does appear that a Kurdish politician was killed as it is the headline for many news links . It does not appear that this is ethnic cleansing as someone pecked out from their keyboard above.
Well reports are scarce so far but we have 60+ confirmed causalities plus 9 executions and 130,000 refugees in just a few days. The Russians are apparently brokering deals to let the Kurds escape their towns before the Turks kill them, but only because the is prisoners keep escaping. Nearly 1000 so far.

You and I both know all of those numbers will go up. This offensive is only a few days old.

We also know that we (the US) has just given Russia another opportunity to look like the good guy and extend their influence.

Link for refugees dying- and who are they? Syrians or Kurds? Or are you just referring to people fleeing the Turkish advance?

I know more people are going to die. My point is we don't have a genocide. 60 is not a genocide. Even 130K if that is what you meant.

If there is a resurgence of ISIS in the region, that's completely on Trump.

    Why do you think so?
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

A better question is whether would anyone think otherwise?

There are no solutions to strategic questions that satisfy every competing issue. ISIL was beat down to a local concern. If this move to ensure Turkey does not release 3.6M Syrian refugees into Europe gives ISIL a chance to reconstitute, look at it as an opportunity.

When they get large enough to not be able to remain hidden in a civilian population it will make it easier to find and target them.

I would agree. But is it on Trump to then go after this resurged ISIS? You're gonna support then......if ISIS does resurge.....the re-introduction of ground troops in Syria, Iraq, or even Turkey?

Hidden in a civilian population......like....oh say......a concert venue in Paris. Nightclub in London. City street in the United States, Peter?
