    Police officer kills 3-month-old daughter

    A New Jersey police officer was indicted for murder this week in connection with the death of his 3-month-old daughter. ... The baby’s mother, former teacher Catherin Bannister, was indicted on a second-degree reckless manslaughter charge and a child endangerment charge after allegedly failing to report ongoing abuse. ...

    According to court documents, authorities read the autopsy results during court this week, which indicated Hailey had nine skull fractures, numerous fractured ribs, and brain bleeding. A Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office autopsy stated that the baby died from blunt impact head trauma. ... Hailey fought for her life for several days but succumbed to her injuries on December 11. Prosecutors then opened up an investigation after medical staff found suspicious injuries on the baby.

    According to Mercer County Homicide Task Force Detective Roberto Reyes, Daniel Bannister abused his daughter from October 4, 2018, to December 5, 2018.     Mug shots are not the best evidence of someone having "that look". Hardly anyone looks good, sane AND rational in a photo being taken after they've just been arrested - especially if it's for something like this.

    They won't receive it, but they SHOULD get life in prison without the possibility of parole.
