    Happy Columbus Day

    Happy Columbus Day

This was the beginning of the pacification and civilization of the Americas. A great moment in history.

The lunatics here in DC are self-haters and have declared this day to be Indigenous Peoples Day.

That is like giving Olympic athletes the Gold medal for coming in second place.

Gli scandinavi affermarono che l'America fu scoperta per prima dai Vichinghi. Tuttavia quando fu scoperto da Colombo rimase scoperto.

We have agreed on this forum, probably one or more years ago on this date, that Columbus did not "discover" America. The historic significance of Columbus is that he opened the Americas to European exploitation. None of the earlier "discoverers" did they. Their acts were insignificant. Columbus directly led to the creation of the power powerful nation to exit on earth: the United States of America.

Happy Columbus day to all of you.

I don't know what I was thinking -- I've been watching the DC protests -- but I sold a car to a private party this past Saturday, and today we met at the bank to cash his check and to have the Bill of Sale notarized. Ha. The bank was closed. We'll do it tomorrow.

The question far more profound that apparently in the interest of tidyness and not greed nobody wants to ask is, when did Native Americans discover and begin settling Europe, starting with Scandinavia?

The native Americans are not related to the Scandinavians or Europeans. The native Americans came across the land bridge between Asia and North America ~16,500 yrs ago.
