The president's former top Russia adviser, Fiona Hill — the first White House official to cooperate in Democrats' investigation of the Ukraine scandal — has detailed for lawmakers a trail of alleged corruption that extends from Kyiv to the West Wing. Sondland reportedly is ready to deflect any blame onto Trump about whether there was a quid pro quo involving military aid to Ukraine or a meeting between Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart in Washington.

Congressional investigators on Friday will hear from Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper, who oversees Russia- and Ukraine-related matters at the Pentagon.

Smoke and mirrors. Trump will remain President and will be elected for another 4 years. Pelosi will lose the House and her speakership and Schiff will be lucky if he is able to remain in Congress. If he does, he won't hold any important committee seats ever again. Nadler will just stroke out after the election and become nothing more than a fast fading memory.

If, for some odd reason, they are successful at impeaching Trump in the House, they're still going to run into a brick wall in the Senate, and Trump supporters are likely to reelect him.

I think that would pose an interesting scenario -- a president who's been impeached in the House and then reelected. What sort of tone would that set for his second term? Would it effectively silence the fierce opposition to him from the Dems? Or, would it enrage them further?

Whatever happens, our nation has changed. I feel as though the shift started during GWB's term, ramped up during Obama's term, and now it's totally out of control. There is no more respect for the office of the presidency and I don't think it will return any time soon.

Impeachment proceeding or not -- I feel Trump will be reelected.

These hearings / depositions are behind closed door with no cross-examination. We don't have any idea what they have said. We do know that on a couple of occasions leaks were 180 degrees different that what the witness said.
