Of course it was unfounded, corporations are not giving up their treasure to employees easily.
Illegal immigration would have been stopped already if business america was behind stopping it, they are not because dirt cheap labor benefits them and dilutes the work force and makes it impossible for american workers to achieve prosperity because wages are kept artificially low because of so many illegals.
If there were no illegals in the work force or far less, wages would have increased dramatically because business would have to compete for unskilled labor, like they did in the 50s and 60s and 70s, The progressive left LOVES illegal immigrants but so does the Very Conservative Business right.
Republicans who benefit by conservative business donors did not back trumps push to stop illegal and still dont, if they would have backed him the fight would have been over when republicans had the house senate and potus, republicans are just as guilty for wanting open borders, their reasons are just different
But its American Workers that do the suffering for both reasons
LETS GO BRANDON

What's so effing ridiculous is the fact that if these idiots just showed a little patience, their pay would have gone up to that magical number in this rapidly expanding Trump economy. Wages are up all over, even for the dumbasses who flip burgers.
Instead, their whining and their entitlement mentality gets them screwed, (and not in a nice way.)

This is going to be difficult for you to grasp because (a) you have a logical mind, and (b) you probably have a very good job and have earned all those raises with your competence at whatever you do.
The urban legend is that some of Target's (or Walmart's or McDonald's) dumbest and most incompetent workers are on federal welfare benefits. (Medicaid and food stamps) Allegedly, the chains have decided that the welfare benefits is all the raise those idiots deserve. Accountants in those businesses allegedly have decided to direct the Human Resource departments of those stores to assist the idiots in getting their federal welfare benefits. This allegedly saves the chain from having to raise the salaries of the idiots and find them health care coverage.
I know. You're obviously thinking "why don't these lazy dumbasses just work harder and smarter and EARN those benefits and higher pay."
The answer is they don't have to. Your tax dollars are subsidizing their little dream world.

While they have a $7ish minimum wage is that what the people actually are getting paid? I have serious doubts about that.
After all Kansas has an average hourly rate of $16 https://www.payscale.com/research/US...as/Hourly_Rate
Ohio has a minimum wage set at $8.55, yet I challenge you to find a non tipped wage paid at that rate. Fast food around here averages $11.50, entry level for retail is around$10, those are starting rates and they are going up. Now I know the cookie cutter answer is "you can't live on that wage".... Yes you can, as the average person working those jobs are either young and live at home or older and working to supplement income. Heads of households do not generally work entry level minimum wage jobs.
Hell the Kroger distro center pays $18 and hour to start and they bump that to $22 once you can operate a forklift.
Minimum wage jobs are not supposed to support families, sorry that is just a fact...
