Why we need a Convention of States

Why we need a Convention of States

Both dems and repubs are corrupt. The States need to step up and use Article V to its fullest potential.

Those who seek to maintain the status quo in D.C. have for many years been spreading lies and misinformation about the Article V Convention of States process.

Many state legislators have believed those lies. That's why it's crucial to educate them in the truth, which is exactly what one Wisconsin volunteer did at a recent committee hearing.

She tackled three of the most common myths about a Convention of States by demonstrating:
    1. D.C. will never reform itself.
    2. A Convention of States will not "run away."
    3. Any amendments must win the broad support of 38 states

    Yes. We do.
Call your state legislators and insist they approve the Article V convention of States to propose amendments.

I pledge allegiance to the Constitution as written and understood by this nation's founders, and to the Republic it created, an indivisible union of sovereign States, with liberty and justice for all.

See the video at the link.
Not a damn thing will happen beyond lobbyist paid parties. 38 states will never agree on anything.

Decentralization is the only reasonable path forward. There needs to be more emphasis on local sovereignty. That doesn't mean there will be no large scale political organization, only that it will be strictly limited to a few things were a broad and genuine social consensus has been firmly established.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

I agree. If we get a convention of states it would be interesting to see how Article 1, sec. 8 is altered.
