Woodstock was a very unusual and complex blend that unknown to everyone performing , promoting , attending etc had no idea was a script for the perfect and defining end of a movement. Of course it was the anti establishment movement
From a sociological perspective it's of incredible irony but certainly not a surprise it was the people who created the establishment and the govt who created the anti establishment. Not vice versa as most still believe. It was not even hard to do. Easy money for a behavioral scientist with a large amount of data to spread across a large number of subjects. Life is a game.
