House passes bill to make animal cruelty a federal felony...

    Good. I hope it passes.

I have no use for anyone who abuses an animal.

"Today’s vote is a significant milestone in the bipartisan quest to end animal abuse and protect our pets,” Deutch said. “This bill sends a clear message that our society does not accept cruelty against animals.”
He added, “I’m deeply thankful for all of the advocates who helped us pass this bill, and I look forward to the Senate’s swift passage and the president’s signature.”

It's a horrible idea -- just another excuse for constant surveillance and neighbors spying on neighbors. I do not wish stinking Democrats well in their never ending busyness to create hell. To hell with Democrats, and their rotten, stupid crap.

Those rotten $#@!s constantly try to codify human morality, and it's just Satanic.

Like they're a bunch of totally fake Apostles or something. It's sickening. Toss them all to the curb.

    No, animal abuse is satanic.

Actually, there is no Satan, but you know what I mean.

    Actually, it was bipartisan.

Neighbor VS Neighbor. That's the kind of crap congress -- and legislatures -- love to wallow in. Animal welfare cops, animal welfare patrols, new regulations on euthanasia. It might cost you $500 to adopt a shelter pet, but it will eventually cost you $1,000 to put down your pet. Do you have "proof of need" or was it murder?

    Bull$#@!. Pure and simple.

This is not progress. It's proof of legislative overreach by institutions that badly need to be pared down in some way, probably by severely restricting the number of days they meet annually. They have proven themselves $#@!ing worthless.

Please put two and two together. Thank you.

I am no fan of animal abusers, it is deplorable. But I also don't think I like the "Federal" part of it.
I am tired of everyone fighting with each other. This is all by design.

You obviously did not read the article.

Is it overreach that we have laws making child abuse illegal? Is it overreach that we have laws making rape illegal?

Are those laws pitting one neighbor against another?

In my opinion, many animals are more valuable than most people so I see protecting them from the sort of cruelty addressed in the article (you really need to read it) a step in the right direction.

People who abuse animals often abuse others as well, so it's not a bad idea to keep an eye on them.

Yeah, the federal part is a little iffy -- but it's only to catch a few of the types of abuse that slipped through earlier laws. It's not the first law of its type.

They -- and I'm referring to the evil that legislates over you -- they will enact laws against everything and anything that they think sounds good to you or that they know bothers you. They are the idle hands in the devil's workshop, and there are several metric tons of them.
