Game manager my ass

I'm waiting to see what the talking heads will throw out now for a reason to doubt the 49ers after they dismantled the Panthers? Moreover i am sick of hearing Jimmy G referred to as a game manager. Sure he's the quarterback of a running team so less pass attempts and expected to make throws without being in a rthym. Sure he hands off for 200 yards a game and doesn't get the same number of throws as many glamour boy QB's.
But one way to compare apples to apples ? Yards per attempt where Jimmy ranks a solid 9th well ahead of many "elite QB's" including Mr. Brady. Hell if you want to point out a weakness of Jimmy's go after his so so TD to INT ratio. But even that says "not a game manager" . He doesn't get as many red zone TD passes as other QB's because the niners just run it in. Yesterday he excelled down the field in the the 15 yards range when needed
I had to stick up for Jimmy. Maybe it's because I look just like him? LOL

Nothing wrong with liking him. He is a great young QB. Keep in mind the experience factor factors into stats like red zone TD's. For example being great at calling audibles directly correlates into red zone TDs. The bottom line is championships. But I will say just because they don't have multiple it doesn't mean they were not great. Many QB's carry their teams. An impressive thing about Brady is he can ride when necessary and then carry a team when necessary by season. He is the GOAT.

I always loved Tony Romo. He took a lot of crap be he knew the game and what he was doing. IMO he carried some bad players and coaches when they were not good. Sometimes that backfired some on him. But he was a great QB in with some bad teams. You hear the guy now and really appreciate his knowledge.

    I love watching Jimmy G.
I am tired of everyone fighting with each other. This is all by design.

Garoppolo isn't a "great" QB. He is inconsistent, but has some good moments.

Garoppolo is decent, but the 49ers are winning mostly because of their awesome defense. The only team with a better defense is the Patriots.

Garropolo is not a top shelf QB. The 49ers are not going to win because of him. He’s not going to carry an offense like other franchise QB’s.

He is not great at this time. But he is not a game manager, which is what they call him.

He did two years ago. My point is he can't rack up 300 passing yards every game while the team is running for 200. there are only so many plays. and nobody is scripting easy one yard TD throws for him. We have yet to see this year what he can do in a two minute drive to win this year.
Game managers aren't typically in the top 1/3 of the leauge in the most important passing stat. yards per attempt.

As much as people dimissed the 49ers early on because of their schedule, the Pats first half schedule has been cake. So we shall see which D is better. I don't know. yet. The 49ers also have an awesome, sometimes big play running game as well.
