Well, you see, that's sort of the point, T. At the time, TB only served tacos, burritos, etc., with ground beef in them. Now I'm sure they have chicken, fish, whatever, but they didn't then, and TB was the only Mexican food most MidWesterners at the time ever encountered. I didn't think it was necessary to specify.

I remember they used to have something called, at various times, a Bell Burger or a Bell Beefer. It was essentially taco meat on a bun - kind of like a sloppy joe.

Well, people do. I guess because it's relatively cheap? I don't know. I live in the Phoenix area, and to say we have more than a few REAL Mexican restaurants here would be an understatement. Everything from fancy sit-down places to holes in the wall with no sign outside that you hear about through word of mouth. Some of the latter are amazing.
