Ancient Egypt curses

This article is about 7 people whose deaths were linked to the Tutankhamun curse.

Seven mysterious deaths that gave rise to the legend of Tutankhamun's curse have been revealed.

One of the first examples on record was that of Prince Nikolaj Radziwill, who in 1550 purchased two mummies in Alexandria and loaded them onto a ship bound for his native Poland.

When the ship became haunted with the ghosts of the two ancient Egyptians, and fierce storms threatened to sink it, Radziwill threw the two mummy overboard, at which point the storm immediately vanished and the ghostly apparitions ceased.

But it was with the excavation of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922 that the legend of the Pharaoh’s Curse really began.
