    Your vehicle was involved in an at-fault accident. Although you were not driving, you permitted a bad driver to drive your car. If you were broadsided by a vehicle running a red light, you would not be at fault, so your rates shouldn't go up.

    I didn't know that. If there is such a thing as reincarnation then I must have done something bad to that woman (dads gf) in a past life, lol. Hopefully we are squared up now.

    That is too much money 450 is horrendous.

    Not necessarily. I had a substantial claim a few years ago and my insurance premium remained the same.

    Auto insurance and homeowners insurance are two different animals.

    Yeah, I do see that I was totally mistaken on that. That's good, now my views are changed. I was going around with that wrong notion based on my one experience. I am glad to have that wrong notion cleared up. But it's a good thing that I didn't know, it means that I've never had to use it.
