White House sees blueprint for stonewalling Democrats after subpoena win by former

White House sees blueprint for stonewalling Democrats after subpoena win by former aide.....

Charles Kupperman, deputy to former national security adviser John Bolton, on Wednesday challenged a subpoena to appear privately before the House Intelligence Committee. Democrats dropped the request rather than wait for a Dec. 10 court hearing.

A day later, Bolton did not appear for a scheduled voluntary deposition. He also is represented by Charles Cooper, Kupperman's attorney.

In most cases, current and former officials summoned to appear before the House Intelligence Committee have retained private attorneys. Administration attorneys have not been permitted to attend the depositions.

Former White House counsel Don McGahn is also challenging a House demand to testify. His case is being heard by a different federal judge.

“This thing is completely fast-tracked, and there is risk [Democrats] are going to lose on the merits in the courts,” said the senior administration official. “It would really harm Congress and its tools and undermine their whole process and underscore the administration's point this is devoid of due process.”.....snip~

Stonewalling, in this case, being a euphemism for obstruction of justice.

How? Did someone give Congress the right to take away the right to go to court?

What you wrote is an euphemism for a Banana Republic tactic.

What Pelosi needs to understand is that Article 1 does not give the House of Representatives the power to dictate foreign policy.

Honestly still laughing my butt off about Democrats and their fascination with providing military aid the the Ukraine. What a joke under Obama. Under Obama Russia just took Crimea...just took it from Ukraine..and momma's boy Obama countered with...Putin you are out of the G8. When Russia invaded Eastern Ukraine, Obama countered with Ukraine I'll send you toilet paper and blankets but no lethal military aid for you to defend yourself with.

What a complete joke this Ukraine thing is. The only winner in all this Ukraine stuff so far has been the drug addict named Biden.
