D1 universities have 85 football scholarships to give of which all are full rides. Most D1 FB teams have 30 to 50 walk-on non-scholarship players.

They have more walk on players than that. There are rules about how many can suit up for a game.

Maybe, but the 85 scholarships are full. All other D1 scholarship programs can divide the set # of scholarships among the players.

The only way to cure that is to ignore scores and only count wins and losses , but there are probably too many teams for a simple solution to work. But I agree with you. Running up the score for votes is NOT what college sports should be about at all.

I would not even count a win when teams like Michigan, Washington or Alabama beat Arkansas State, East Tennessee Stare or South Dakota. Division 1A should only play other division 1A teams.

    Anybody watch the Oklahoma-Baylor game??

Sweet baby jeebus. That was one stunning/impressive comeback!!

I thought Baylor was overrated, but still coming back from 25 points down was impressive.

I watched the Stanford / Washington state game last night. The two teams combined for over 1000 yards passing in the game. You'd think both teams would have scored at least 45 to 50 points. Nope. 49-22.

Shouldn't a quality d back be in the same zip code as an exceptional reciever when he catches the ball? Just sayin, it wasn't even close at times. Oh course I watch mostly nfl where open is sometimes by inches
