Post The Edmund Fitzgerald- never forgotten.

    November 10, 1975. Never forgotten.

Any time you give a man something he doesn't earn, you cheapen him. Our kids earn what they get, and that includes respect. -- Woody Hayes

    The song is haunting, especially the lyrics;

"Does anyone know where the love of God goes,
When the waves turn the minutes to hours..."
""A government which robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul" ~George Bernard Shaw

I believe the Fitzgerald was longer than the depth of the lake. Great song.

I spent many many days fishing on the Great Lakes as I lived in Michigan for over 50 years. I remember that day well.
    And that song...
    Red Green
    The man's prayer:

    I'm a man
    But I can change
    If I have to
    I guess

I was up in Duluth in January about 4-5 years ago. I pulled up to one of the crossings where those tankers pass. If you have never witnessed the size of those passing in a 40-50 foot channel of water you missed a real site. It is pretty awesome.
I am tired of everyone fighting with each other. This is all by design.

You poor guy. I was there about a decade ago in January and I thought I was in the coldest place on earth. And I have visited the oil pipelines in Alaska during construction in the 1980s.
The winds were about 40 mph coming of the lake and we had to drive inland to Chisholm. I started wanting to go home the moment I stepped out of the hotel. Chisholm was actually not so bad, without the lake winds.
    Let's go Brandon !!!
