Have we become our parents after all?

This generation is too soft and too liberal. They don't value hard work! They are unrealistic and will never be able to manage life, much less the country!

Sounds familiar from a generation or two ago doesn't it? And yet we managed. Sometimes poorly, sometimes well, but we managed.

Yes and no. All generations have their slackers and overachievers. Millennials get too much criticism regarding work, but they earn some of their criticism regarding social views. And unfortunately, socialism is becoming more popular among them.

That being said, the quickest cure to supporting socialism is prosperity. Once someone starts to make good money and sees how much gets taxed from them, they tend to become more capitalistic.

They said the same about the hippys, now most of them are mainstream backbone America. I believe that there is so much support for socialism because so many social cons lied to them about what socialism is. What these kids really want is compassionate capitalism and a level playing field.

They knew what they were talking about in most ways, but they over fretted about much. Including "kids these days"

Your lack of any historical perspective whatsoever probably their biggest regret you think?

The current generation seems to be embracing socialism despite its repeated failures. They are fools.

    Compassionate capitalism. lol

What is that? It sounds like the calls for compassionate conservationism in the 2000 election that gave us Bush the Younger. It was an excuses for massive deficit spending. Their motto was deficits don't matter, and we will spend on our priorities and not dem proprieties.

Why don't you just embrace the free market rather than making something fake up?

What they should be asking for is less corporate cronyism. The source of the problem isn't capitalism -- it's government favoring some companies over others.

Try commenting on the topic. Or go back to your old war books, either way.
