I think that the "average American" understands that when you lose, you take your ball and go home. These guys lose and then change the game. I think that hits most Americans in the 'fundamental fairness' thing we've grown up with. I was down home last Thursday and I can tell you that the people I talked to in Sebring and Beloit Ohio (all democrats, by the way) are pissed at the D's. I'm sure if I went to a tony coffeeshop in Westlake or Chagrin Falls, they'd be "all in" on impeachment.

Why then, are they not speaking out?

This is the part that gets me. I have very clearly expressed my opinion on this matter in both public and private. My Representative and both of my idiot Senators have heard from me.

If people recognize these proceedings as a sham, why are they not telling their representatives to knock it off or they will be out of a job? What does it take to send an Email or even better, a letter? Would Pelosi be allowing this if she knew that if the House goes through with it, the People will make sure her political career is over? Would Schiff or the other members of his committee be playing this stupid game if the People stood up and said "STOP or you are going to have to start looking for a real job"?

People may grumble about it in private, but what does that accomplish? Those elected officials need to be reminded that they work for us. We hired them and we can fire them. And we will if they don't stop acting like spoiled children.
