So, you believe that a sitting Democrat being reelected in a state where it's not uncommon for a Democrat to be their governor is a signal of a rising Democratic tide?

I believe in a general political climate, when a sitting president campaigns hard for a candidate in states that he won by a 20 and 30 point margin, that candidate losing is typically not good for the sitting president. That’s how these cycles work.

National elections are generally irrelevant at the state level. That's why Tip O'Neal continually used the phrase "all politics is local".

Obviously you don't have a clear understanding as to how these cycles work.

I do, actually, but whatever. Thank you for killing yet another attempt at discussion.

Dems won, despite the big desperate Trump last minute campaign effort.
basically Trump put himself on the ballot.

Actually I just provide some substance you can’t refute, so you do what you do.

It is common for Louisiana to elect a Democrat. The fact that one won a close reelection campaign against an unknown isn’t an indication of a riding Democratic tide.

I’m sure someone will call that trolling and report it.

No one genuinely believes Trump will lose in Louisiana, right?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
