Voters now leery of media obsession with impeachment

This is a liberal Poll not conservative.

he news media has an appetite for the impeachment hearings against President Trump — and it appears that many journalists are not attempting to quell that craving. This trend is not lost on voters, who must bear witness to relentless coverage that is often repetitive and loaded with the anti-Trump narrative of the day or strategic buzzwords like “collusion” and “bribery.”
It is most interesting to note that 6-out-of-10 voters now agree that the impeachment hearings are “more important to the media” than to voters. Even 44% of Democrats agree with that. So says a new Politico/Morning Consult poll conducted after the first week of hearings ended.

Yes, well. See more numbers in the Poll du Jour at column’s end. Meanwhile, the pollster also finds that public interest in the impeachment proceedings is on the wane.

I can see it working against the democrats. In the past three years, they've really done nothing but cry and point fingers toward Trump. The average citizen is tired of it. It's a failure of the democratic party -- yet the media just keeps hyping it.

Conservatives (and a growing number of independents) want Trump to behave better -- they want him to show a modicum of decorum, and they want him to stop his rants. But, they also want what Trump stands for -- America-first, a strengthened bargaining presence in the world, stronger borders, and less regulation and taxation. So all the snowflake hysteria that's coming from the Left, via MSM, doesn't really faze them. They will overlook Trump's personal issues in order to have a leader who will stand up to the looniness of the far-Left.

American people have reached a tipping point -- they see the media as biased, which, of course, it is, and now that they understand that -- they're less likely to be impacted by media histrionics. The days are gone when large media outlets could successfully push a narrative -- we have the internet now and we have access to news the minute it happens. The Old Press is over -- it's just dying an ugly death.

The entire matter is not only ridiculous, its growing thin. It really makes liberals appear desperate and weak.
