Haha, thats my max and sasha, they can be sound asleep if you rustle a plastic storage bag where we keep low salt rotisserie chicken WHAM they are right behind you, tails wagging and an expectant look on their faces.

My dogs would all appear out of nowhere at the sound of a cheese wrapper (or anything that sounded the same).

This also applies to cats, for the record.
Go ahead, open the refrigerator. I dare ya.....

My late buddy Mooch knew instantly if I was going to have a bowl of cereal. He could be fast asleep at the other end of the house, and as soon as I took the milk jug out of the fridge, he was there, demanding to drink the milk out of my bowl. He did the same thing if someone took a package of ground beef out of the fridge. Nothing else, just milk and hamburger.

All it took for our doggies, was the sound of a knife across the cutting board, it didn't matter what you were slicing, they wanted it. I sure do miss Sierra and Murphy.

When I adopted my precious Henry he was 15 years old and had only known abuse. When I gave him his first 2am cheese snack he looked..... I'll let his picture speak for him.

We only had a year and a half together I made sure he had his share of cheese snacks.

It doesn't take much to make a dog or cat happy. Dogs especially, just seem so overjoyed at every little treat, or the least bit of love and attention. I have lost so many wonderful companions over the years - some of them suddenly and without warning. Knowing that inspires me to spend more time with the ones I still have, and as much as possible to fill their days with good feelings and unexpected treats and attention.
