Not yet. I think they are in shock at the public reaction to their schemes.

That wont dissuade them. Everyone knows what will stop them in their tracks. Until that happens. They will continue forward.

Elections have consequences. Voter turnout was very low, especially for Repubs. Now they get this.

I am glad I don't have anything to seize.

This will outlaw a majority of popular firearms. SCOTUS will kill it; but how many patriots will be jailed prior to that?

Also, local governments are declaring themselves to be 2nd Amendment sanctuaries. So I am not sure if this can be enforced. In Fairfax County there was a County Supervisors meeting for some silly issue. But the hall was packed with patriots who sat in silence for the two hours it took for official business. Then when it was time for public comment it was on: Repeated demands for 2nd Amendment sanctuary status. The Board is all but 1 Dem, so I imagine they were crapping their pants.

Peter, my friend, the thread title should have said...PROPOSED...gun confiscation comes to Virginia.

We the people are slow to anger, but if they pass this, it just might be the catalyst.

The state (commonwealth) that gave us several presidents just might be the state that begins a new birth of freedom for this country.

The line in the sand has been drawn.

    Yo @Peter1469.....whats up with this?

'The law is the law': Virginia Democrats float prosecution, National Guard deployment if police don't enforce gun control.....

Democratic lawmakers on Capitol Hill say local police who do not enforce gun control measures likely to pass in Virginia should face prosecution and even threats of the National Guard.

After November's Virginia Legislature elections that led to Democrats taking control of both chambers, the gun control legislation proposed by some Democrats moved forward, including universal background checks, an “assault weapons” ban, and a red flag law.

Legal firearm owners in the state, however, joined with their sheriffs to form Second Amendment sanctuary counties, which declare the authorities in these municipalities uphold the Second Amendment in the face of any gun control measure passed by Richmond.

Over 75 counties in Virginia have so far adopted such Second Amendment sanctuary resolutions in the commonwealth, the latest being Spotsylvania County. The board of supervisors voted unanimously to approve a resolution declaring that county police will not enforce state-level gun laws that violate Second Amendment rights.

Virginia Democratic officials, however, already say local law enforcement supporting these resolutions will face consequences if they do not carry out any law the state Legislature passes......snip~

It appears the Democrats wont back down from this issue. If they follow thru with what they are saying. The people of Virginia should hang the Democrats by Tree limbs. Just so the rest of the Democrats get the message.

I wonder what the Democrats will do once they discover that most of the National Guard in Virginia wont side with them. Shouldn't they start packing up their homes and getting their families out now?

I stand with those who are affected by this proposed law.

In our recent elections so few people voted. Elections have consequenses.

Now the Constitution community has taken hold. I don't think we will allow the National Guard to interfer.
