I think that’s one area Sanders has excelled on and has helped him leapfrog so many of the more centrist candidates, he’s talked about the Ukraine mess here and there but 95% of his message has been about things that regular folks care about, like healthcare, wages, employment, etc. Much as I dislike Trump on a political and personal level, one thing I gotta give him credit for is the same thing I credit Sanders for. In the midst of his rambling, bizarre tirades about toilets and light bulbs, he actually addresses issues that regular folks care about and that’s his electoral strength. If Dems can’t find a way to match that appeal...*shrug*

That’s one reason I backed Sanders in 2016 and back him in 2020, because for the first time in a long time we voters would actually have a real choice between two actual candidates that give us reasons to vote FOR something rather than vote AGAINST something. Or the Dems can do what they did in 2016 and nominate Biden to yell at voters and call them names and tell us how we should care about Corn Pop.

I would never have voted for Dennis Kucinich back in 2008 but I respected him because he was a man of principle. While I have to admit that Sanders' yelling schtick has gotten old I would pay him the same compliment. Both party establishments seem tone deaf at this point. Interesting comments.

An 80-20 split doesn’t really indicate a serious breakup of the Democratic Party though. If it was more like 60-40 we’d be approaching more of a concern point, IMO. Because again, at the end of the day the important poll is how many Democrats would vote for Trump in 2020. Half of Democrats could like some of the things he’s done but if all of them vote Dem in 2020, what difference did it make?

I believe no one knows the truth, at this point there is so much misinformation coming from everywhere its tough to sort out. I found it hard to believe trump is maintaining his favorability and it hasnt dropped.

Democrats have a disadvantage when it comes to actual news and fact, the outlets they watch and read do not tell them the truth. It tells them what they want them to believe.

If you watch CNN and MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC and read the NYTs and Wapo only you are going to believe that Trump is the devil and that the Democrats are going to sweep the 2020 elections by a landslide and that Most americans are for anything democrat and that Socialism is popular and so is Medicare for all and impeachment.

What you refer to as "liberal" CBS, ABC and NBC are national stalwarts of credible journalism and television news. The din of information since cable and the net have made it very difficult for credible outlets to stay on top of credible sources of information. I am a news hound and have not heard ANY of the credible sources predict any landslide for 2020. "Socialism" is yet another red scare by the lying far right of which you obviously belong to. I really wish that you would actually READ credible source information and THEN comment, rather than participate in Putin's disinformation campaigns.

Assuming this is accurate it's quite significant in so far as it demonstrates that the strategy of Orange Man Bad isn't rallying Democrats and that few Americans are particularly interested in this impeachment farce.

One thing that ALL Democrats AND Republicans will remember is that Trump never delivered all those steel and trade jobs. He inherited a booming economy and it has been kept alive due to suppressed interest rates and massive corporate stock buybacks. All of this will come out in the wash and all that this impeachment affair has done is show the entire world what a rat that Donald Trump is.
