Ohhh burn. The Patriots got beat, but they proved that they are still a contendecjust based on their defense.

Yeah not really. The Titans only scored 14 because that’s all they cared about scoring, everything after that was just about controlling the clock and keeping it from the offense as long as possible. And when it came to that, the Pats defense couldn’t stop us.

Brady should seriously consider retirement. Granted the pick six wasn’t on him, but he’s obviously declining and he’s risking hanging on too long and embarrassing himself like Brett Favre did.

No. they didn’t ease up. They didn’t fail to score more points because that was their game plan.

The Titans ran the ball better.

The Pats defense played well enough to win the game. they stopped the Titans when they needed to. Their mediocre offense was their undoing.

NE competed and had their chances to take charge of that game. At times their defense looked like they were dominating. They just couldn't hold up against one of the NFL's best running backs.

New England will need to rebuild their offense in the off season. They need help at virtually every position. They better find their replacement for Brady, because he's obviously in a rapid decline. In March he becomes a free agent. I'm sure NE will re-sign him or give him a one or two year extension, but certainly not at his current salary.

I'm not saying the Patriots didn't fight for it. They put out a good effort. The game wasn't won quite the way I expected, either. The real battle was on the sidelines. It's not often that Belichick gets outcoached, but he was in this game.

The Ravens-Titans game is going to be interesting.

Belichick has had problems going up against some of his past assistants. I don't see the Ravens / Titans game being a cliff-hanger. Henry is a great RB, but I don't see them beating Baltimore.
