I'd imagine the non representation fuels part of the apathy, but I suspect motor voter laws fuel the most. Those that registered via MVLaws probably wouldn't have registered to vote on their own. Not mention those that walk the streets asking "are you registered to vote" if not "would like to register".

I assume you're referring to "walk the streets". If been downtown in a number of cities/towns around voting periods, it's part of the party/s "get out the vote" drives.

That and motor voter laws. Muddles up why people don't vote, some never would.

Both have been proven to be highly effective in registering voters, especially disenfranchised voters. There’s nothing woron with that. As many legal voters as possible should be freely unencumbered.

OK, if I understand, this means the # of registered voters that didn't vote out number the registered voters that did vote for president in that particular county ??
