    Pet Antics

I thought I'd share a photo I took early this morning with my phone. Lola had worked her way under the table -- she's still there, by the way, and I'm wondering how she's going to get out. The table is heavy -- travertine stone top -- so I can't lift it off her, and her hips bother her a bit (she's almost 8 years old, now), so there may be chaos in a short while when she decides she wants out from under there.

I thought this would be a good thread to share funny/odd shots of our pets.

I finally woke my husband and asked him to come down in case Lola started struggling to get out. He was having his coffee and watching the news when she decided to get up, and he was able to lift the table off. Phew...

They both look like they're just waiting for the other to fall asleep. Ha ha!

Lily loves the cats, but for some reason they make her nervous. A couple of them will walk up and rub their faces on her snout or head as a sign of affection and ownership. Mikey's little brother Rutger will walk up to Lily and talk to her, and Lily will look for all the world like she's trying to figure out what the cat is saying.

I've seen this play out in real life any number of times.

My first duo of cats were father and son. They would sleep together, bathe each other. And nonchalantly bite each others ears which would start a round of swipe-bat-whack. The ambushes were even more fun to watch... just around the corner, skulks a fierce attacker.... and the play would ensue.

    Miss those boys....
