    The Great Climate Hoax

Adding to the long standing debate on whether we’re all going to die because someone else says we will, a little piece of my own separating the science from science fiction and viewing opinions and predictions as just that and minus the ‘scientific’ claims often used as proof.

Climate activists miss the point that global/cooling/change/disruption is not an exact science. Some scientists say the earth is warming, others that it’s cooling. Some say that humans are responsible, others that the climate has a history of natural changes and that the planet warms and cools in cycles due to sunspots. Others say the sea is rising, others say it isn’t … they’re disputed facts. Climatologists and politicians are people whose livelihood depends on pushing an alarmist agenda.

Climate activists themselves have a natural tendency to cherry pick the findings of those scientists who agree with them and disregard the findings of others. That’s normal for any single issue agenda SJWs. To prove their point they then cite a percentage of scientists who agree. That is not science, it’s a majority consensus based on predictions which have all turned out to be false. From acid rain, to suffocating fish, droughts, floods, mass starvation and nuclear type winters …

We do know from historical facts that weather changes in cycles of centuries. We also know that freak weather conditions occurred long before climate change became fashionable. We can see for ourselves that the previous prediction of ice caps melting and flooding the world hasn’t occurred. Which all means that the future predictions of a climate catastrophe are beliefs based on the opinions of others.

What we can say for certainty is that those behind the climate activists are making lots of money out of it, which is usually an incentive to push any agenda. Starting with Al Gore who made a vast fortune from being completely wrong. This following short article is an interesting read about how the climate hoax arose. Essential five minute reading for those not blinded by various scientific claims and getting back to the basics of profit from fear mongering, which is where it all stems from.

    https://www.heartland.org/news-opini...-warming-fraud

‘How Al Gore Built the Global Warming Fraud and changed the alarmism from global cooling to global warming, and now climate change.’

In the European Union, environmental taxes raised €369 bn ($409bn) in 2017 alone (eurostat). Carbon emission purchase schemes are now estimated to be worth $82bn and rising (climateaction.org). This occurred because those activists pushing the agenda thought that money and politicians could change the earth’s climate.

I don’t question the sincerity of those caught up in the green revolution hoax, but from cheap imported open borders labour, to political (socialist) collectivism and onto climate change activists and calls for a ‘citizens’ assembly’; when business men and politicians lead revolutions it was always going to be about power and money. The power to further collectivize society based around a single issue and the incentive to profit from it, which is something the Greta’s and new-age adherents have yet to figure out for themselves.

Doomsday prophecies are nothing new and the climate cooling/warming/change hoax is one in a long list of many. The faithful will always shout that their cause is the real deal, even when the prophecies are proved wrong. That’s the power of persuasion and indoctrination.

Before we get carried away with the hype and gullibility behind the latest crusade and this time led by children, let’s remind ourselves of previous predictions. If you still believe, so shall it be. I’m left with one puzzling question. Is it global warming or cooling that’s supposed to destroy the world, or is the proliferation of ‘scientific evidence’ so contradictory that no one really knows?

"Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support…the following predictions: In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution…by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half…." Life magazine, 1970.

"The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years. If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age." Kenneth Watts, Ecologist, Earth day, 1970.

"The entire North ‘polarized’ cap will disappear in 5 years." Al Gore, 2006.

"In fact, climate change is directly related to the growth of terrorism." Bernie Sanders, 2015.

"We're seeing entire communities being decimated by the climate crisis …" Greta Thunberg, 2019.

The climate is always changing. It takes a big ego for someone to think we are going to control mother nature. If Yellowstone goes off this country is going to be hard pressed to survive. Man had nothing to do with it and can't do anything to change it.

Al Gore started a carbon swap scheme on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and shut it down to avoid prosecution for fraud.

Absolutely. Politicians and technology advances can do many things, but to think they can change the earth’s climate takes some believing. So if there’s a big panic now, where have all the billions in eco taxes gone that were meant to change the weather to what we’d like it to be? You can’t prevent the occasional hurricane or volcano from erupting, or spells of bad weather.

The real problem is that there are too many of us and you can’t put millions of people together in cities and expect zero pollution. Previously, every generation had wars and there were also the various plagues, notably in the middle ages and the influenza epidemic of 1918 that wiped out millions. WW1, followed by WW2 which also reduced the population considerably.

We can’t live in a modern first-world society and expect it to be powered by wind propellers and solar panels. We’re not going to go back to horses and carts in an agricultural era. If these eco warriors had to live in the sort of non-pollution world they propose they wouldn’t last two minutes.

    This.

I completely understand trying to reduce pollution and keep our world clean and healthy to live it, but to think we can take control is beyond the pale.

Money is behind it -- big money -- and in the latest Appropriations Bill that passed, another little clause was sneaked in that subsidizes Big Wind for another year (their subsidies should have run out years ago), and that will not only cost taxpayers billions, it will also result in skyrocketing electrical bills. Some folks are getting VERY wealthy on this climate change thing.
