I may end up going vegan. Not much for cooking but then again how hard can it be to make green beans over green beds on a bed of more green beans?

I'm just not mean enough to eat a crippled chicken

Those poor chickens have no lives, which is why I don't eat them. They're packed together in small cages and given hormones so their breasts grow so large the chickens cannot even stand.

Yes, there are vegetarian chicken substitutes, but I don't find them as good as vegetarian beef substitutes. The Quorn turkey substitue is very good, however.

LOL -- look in the frozen section of your grocery store -- they likely stock all sorts of vegetarian foods -- sometimes under a "Healthy Foods" sign. Stick to Quorn and Morning Star choices -- some of the other manufacturers put out gross foods. But, you can find all sorts of things. I cook a LOT because my husband started getting neurotoxic headaches about 13 years ago or so. He can't eat anything with excitotoxins, such as high fructose corn syrup, MSG, and aspartame. They'll give him a splitting 4-day headache. Always 4 days because that's how long it takes the affected neurons to die. So, I learned to cook - and now I do it well - but, I've been "mostly vegan" for years although I used to cook meat for my family. I will use eggs and milk if a recipe calls for them, but I use free-range eggs and local-sourced milk whenever I can.

No phone, no lights, no motor car,
    Not a single luxury,
    Like Robinson Crusoe,
    It's primitive as can be.

Its starting to creep me out the more I think about it. Thank God for biscuits

An added plus is I will be standing in the frozen veggies looking honestly confused, because I will be. I figure wimminz can tell if youre really confused or just being creepy.

In my mind the chicken I alluded to in the OP has became as big as a St Bernard now
