You made the claim, it's up to you to back it up. You can't, because you have no idea what you're talking about, and are just parroting the issued talking points.

It's a total joke to think this President is going to follow our laws and protocol and it pains me to say there's no one brave enough in the republican party to demand that he does.

Bushbama was no different. Constant war is what we do. i believe the Embassy attack was anticipated and will be used to garner support from the poorly informed for more war in the ME

I agree. Those with money tied up in war are totally cheering over this move.

You are the one making the claims that President Donald Trump is not following the law. The very least you can do is be ready to defend your position with valid information rather than deflection.

Hi Nathan - Where have you been? Hope all is well.

Here's one argument that was made that explains it far better than I can.

First of all this president trying to Usurp the separation of powers. He's trying to seize legislative powers and that is the definition of Tyranny as James Madison put it. When the executive tries to seize legislative powers, the constitution makes it very clear Under Article 1. Congress and only Congress has the power to appropriate money. The president did not get what he wanted, he did not get the money for his wall. So now he's trying to declare a Fake emergency, a bogus emergency that does not exist, to try and take money from a military budget that was not designed to build a wall. He's effectively defying congress and the rule of law, which is the common theme for this White House.
In 1952 the Supreme Court ruled when Pres. Truman tried to seize private property during the Korean War, that the president does not have that power. Congress has laid out the rules for a National Emergency in 1976 which it lays out the kind of Emergency powers the president can assume. But thats not what we have here when the president himself admitted it was not necessary and he is only doing it because Congress did not give him his wall money and he's trying to seize powers he does not have the right to. Congress has voted on this twice and Trump agreed and signed the legislation.

I have a phone and a pen. Nuff said.

Besides, which would you rather see: Funds from the military budget spent on defending a foreign country or funds from the military budget spent on defending the United States? In his role as Commander in Chief he has the authority to direct the military as he sees fit. Furthermore, it is only your and others like minded that believe the influx of foreign nationals in this country unchecked is not an emergency that needs to be addressed.

Are you studying Spanish? Can you speak it fluently? Because it won't be long before that will be the dominant language in the United States.

I hope you will respond with the same equanimity when the next Democratic President declares a climate emergency and diverts military funds to renewable energy and climate-related construction projects and/or blocks oil drilling on federal lands since federal oil leases can be suspended in an emergency.
In quoting my post, you affirm and agree that you have not been goaded, provoked, emotionally manipulated or otherwise coerced into responding.
