Keep in mind, I'm guessing most people watch porn because they want to get off - manually or otherwise.
Which is one reason why I really never got into porn. Or strip joints for that matter because if I see that $#@!, like most everyone else I want to $#@! something. So why bother priming the pump just to swell the plumbing?
My wife and I used to watch porn together. Hell, when we dated we used to go to the drive in when they still showed porns (some may still).

Market economies are the only economies that realistically reflect prevailing social values. If social values are loose and sexually permissive, the market will tend to reflect and even perpetuate those values. The opposite is also true. So the "problem" isn't the market, the problem is a change in values.
