That's a fact I know people who made moonshine living right next to game wardens and sheriffs . I got family who make it in Kentucky My grandad made it and I have made it. its part of life there. I even know of a store that sells it if you know the owner . he carried rye shine made in bath county Virginia without doubt the smoothest I have ever drank in my life and I have drank a hell of a lot of shine. you dont mess with peoples shine marijuana patch's or Ginseng honey hole on their property in wv. I know one cop that got beat to death outside a bar that was full of people they found him with a loggers hook stuck in him . no body knew nothing.
another one committed suicide with a pistol 25 foot from the body.
I know another who got shot with a shot gun and crippled for life when he pulled in a guys drive way in the dark.
people make fun of people from the hills a lot but you dont want to @3$% around to much or you will pay the price and more than likely no one will see anything or not know anything.
