If the gun owners are smart, they'll turn over the weapons; get a receipt for them and then file a lawsuit in court citing the 2nd amendment. Anything else they do, they'll most certainly lose.

Those sheriffs who refuse to uphold the law risk being removed from office and replaced with those who'll uphold the law. If they believe the law is a violation of the 2nd amendment, then they should file suit in court as that is the mechanism we use in this country to settle disputes.

Thats a very rational approach. By forcing the issue liberals could have this to backfire on them with a Supreme Court decision upholding the 2nd settling the issue once and for all

Since the Democrats began this endeavor. Gun Sales have soared thru the roof in Virginia. The Demos thought they could rely on the National guard. Now they know that isn't a possibility hence the Governor looking to create a task force for gun confiscation.


91 out of 95 Counties in Virginia says they wont lose. Don't forget that over a third of leftists wont be able to handle any violence that jumps off. That leaves the Democrats and their supporters in a lose lose situation.

If this was 247 years ago I might agree with you.

When we won our battle for independence, our founding fathers designed a constitution and along with that a mechanism for resolving issues that might crop up over time. One of those mechanisms was the court system which was among other things designed to prevent American's from taking up arms and/or resorting to violence against one another. It has worked pretty well for the most part. Both sides accept the rulings from the court and live with it and if either side finds it intolerable to live with, then they have a right to change the constitution to suit their satisfaction.

To go your route, you'll most likely end up incarcerated (if convicted, lose all rights) or six feet under. That's your choice, not mine.

Me personally, I'll be a "Torie" as you call me, use the court system to resolve any issues, keep all my rights, stay out of prison and die a free man.

Nobody wins when it comes to violence, that is a true fact. This is why we have the court system in this country.
