Oldest roasted root vegetables found in ashes

    https://www-newscientist-com.cdn.amp...d-cave-dirt%2F

Charred fragments found in 170,000-year-old ashes in a cave in southern Africa are the earliest roasted root vegetables yet found. The finding suggest the real “paleo diet” included lots of roasted vegetables rich in carbohydrates, similar to modern potatoes.

“I think people were eating a very balanced diet, a combination of carbohydrates and proteins,” says team leader Lyn Wadley of the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa.

The main reason all these anthropological intrigues point to Africa is because it's the place where such indicators are preserved the longest, and that's about it. Hence, man didn't "evolve" or migrate out of Africa "based on the evidence". That's just more fake science cranked out by huge egos.

Thank you for framing your information in the correct context: "... the earliest roasted root vegetables yet found."

The SAD (Standard American Diet) is crap but I don't get all these extreme lifestyle choices. The vegan cult is definitely the looniest but the carnivores are their somewhat less radical couterpart. It's just a difference of degree. We're naturally omnivorous and nutrition isn't rocket science. WTH is wrong with people?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
