New questions rise as Iran says it downed plane

New questions rise as Iran says it downed plane

Apparently the commander of the Revolutionary Guard (in charge of the AA unit that took the plane down) asked the government to close the airspace and shut down the airport.

“The first thing a country should do in case of escalation of the military conflict is to close the sky for civilian flights,” said retired Ukrainian Gen. Ihor Romanenko, a military analyst. “But this entails serious financial losses, fines and forfeits, therefore a cynical approach prevailed in Iran.”

" “But this entails serious financial losses, fines and forfeits, therefore a cynical approach prevailed in Iran.”.....in this case , economic sanctions are a contributing factor to the circumstances . It doesn't change the verdict , or the fact that Iran fu*kd up , but it did contribute to the circumstances.

The birth of the universe contributed too. Had there been no Big Bang that plane would never have been shot down.

Iran is the sole responsible party here.

That would depend on whether the government or the top brass of the military had prior knowledge before the plane was downed.....before the investigation , they didn't know that they were guilty.......only those who actually fired the missile knew that. No doubt , an internal investigation will be in progress. This disaster happened under the most extraordinary of circumstances.

@PJL I understand that it is your job to try to spin things.. but man you are trying way to hard here. Bottom line. Trump has them nervous as hell. The people launching that missile are probably $#@!ting themselves everyday waiting for death from above like the POS Solemani got. They are likely untrained and under paid. They F'd up. That is stuff that happens under stress, but the Leaders were very cynical. They relied on a compliant press to blame the US and Trump. It didnt work and now they look like what they are.. Lying evil pieces of trash with the blood flow to their heads cut off by the towels they wrap around their skulls.

No matter how much your bosses in Moscow want this to look bad for the US the entire chain of events shows that once again Trump was genius.

Bad analogy......within the space of those few days , the Middle East could have totally erupted into complete chaos , with potential of kicking off another WW - those are the most extraordinary of circumstances. For every action there is a reaction --- and the consequences all hinge upon the choices we make.
