I was dreading having to go to Windows 10 - but they installed it in my office a few weeks ago, the world didn't end, and I've gotten pretty comfortable with it. My PC at home has Windows 8, which I despise, so now that I know Windows 10 isn't the nightmare some people told me it was, maybe I'll install 10 at home, too.

After College, I started out in the Research dept of a Fortune 500 company and had the first real PC in the company. No hard drive but a whopping 2 - 5.25" floppy drives. I was the company PC expert for about 15 minutes I think. Dos and Basic was a breeze after Cobol programming with punch cards.

I am still running Windows 7 on my middle age systems and refused Windows 10 when it was free. I had no choice when I got the new laptop.

And here is my first portable computer LOL

I had no problem with 7. I bought another computer last month in anticipation of today. I'll use the old computer as a hard drive, etc.

Windows 10 is ok, but every so often one of the updates makes a real mess for a day or two. The early updates were a disaster.

When I got the free update back in 2015, it began to screw with my hard drive. Finally last year, I had to replace my hard drive and got a whole new Windows 10 OS with it. No problems now.
    IT'S JUST BORIS!
