Who taught him to take that many body shots and not get seriously hurt though?

    Body armor?

Reeves had a retired Seal teach him that slow is smooth and smooth is fast.

I image only a few people here know that phrase.

I have it on the wall of my classroom.

Another of my favorites is. "Long Range Shooting... It's like golf, but for men."

In real life body armor can indeed safe your life. I still have a level 3 vest I used at work .
But body armor will still expose you to impach . a 9 mm traveling at 1200 feet per second will cause you to feel a lot of pain and severe brusing and a l3 vest will restrict your movement.

The new generation ones are a lot better. I have a couple of IIIa vests and the difference between my older ones and the newest one is really pretty amazing. It is not nearly as cardboardy (if that's a word) as the older ones. It is lighte, thinner, and more flexible. The plate armor I carry in my active shooter bag still weighs a ton, but I'll take that in order to be able to stop a .308 round. The new ceramic hybrids are lighter, but I haven't been able to convince myself to get one yet.

I have things like that posted all over the place. It is important that shooters know and understand it. Another one of my favorites and one I use on the range all the time when training shooters to shoot controlled pairs is "Anyone worth shooting once is worth shooting twice".

you don't think the fight scenes are impossible. I mean one after another, to the next, etc.

I have not seen the movie. I have seen clips of Reeves and his training for the movie.

I was referring to the hits and kicks he took in fight one and two and three seldom effecting his ability to wage fight 5 . Which for this character happened before lunch break.

day to day I carry a gen 3 Glock 26 with aftermarket night sights and also a plus power firing pin spring

    Occasional I carry a sp101 2 in in 357 mag stainless

Occasional I also use silenced 10/45 pistol when I go places Id prefer people not to know im shooting

and every so often I carry a mouse gun in 380
I find it too easy to accidentally fire, under pressure, with a striker pistol. My biggest fear with a 1911 is under pressure not remembering to take the safety off. This is the reason I carry a Sig MK25 double/single action.

As far as reliable pistols are concerned under any condition the MK25 rates high but probably the Glocks rate the highest.
When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.
