    I read an article this week that appeared on Real Clear Science stating that you have to be careful when planting trees- they can decrease water runoff into streams, rivers, and lakes.

    Of course there are plenty of good: they prevent soil erosion, provide a habitat for many animals, and if you are a warmist, they absorb CO2 (and turn it into oxygen).
