If he didn't know Parnas, that makes it worse: this president should not be recklessly weighing any the words of a nobody into his important decisions.

Make no mistake. This was clearly and extremely impulsive.

The discussion took place at a dinner table with parnas, the president, and a few other people. The only thing the president “learned” was from Parnas. Lev simply lied to him and told him that Yavanovitch was bad mouthing him. Predictably, he took it at face value and within 34 seconds fired her.

Lev needed her gone. I think you will agree that it didn’t take very much at all to trick the President into making that happen.

Whatever you were watching was a distortion. What channel was it?
