Really. I hear it was someone repeating what someone told them Bolton wrote. The book is not out and they are not going to pre-release it to the NYTimes for any other reason than publicity to ramp up the pre-orders.

They have done the same with all these tell-all flops.

But with a story of such magnitude and possible repercussions, they know that scrutiny will be tripled.

If it was Ukrainian corruption he was concerned with, he would have said “Ukrainian corruption”. It shows that the President was concerned with “investigations into the Democrats including the Bidens”, not corruption. The mention of the word “Democrats” is the most damning point here. If that one word survives scrutiny in cross examination, then there is no question of intent. I am slightly leaning towards the opinion that it will not. All the same, this shows that there was a qpq, contrary to what the President’s defence said on Saturday.

Cannot be substantiated? Bolton is the thing that Republicans have been screaming for since day one: a First Hand Witness.

the parnas video shows that trump is easily manipulated by anyone within his earshot. It shows he is not particular about the company he keeps. It shows he is not thoughtful or careful with his decisions.

It also shows that the Yavanovitch firing was not likely a part of the effort to smear Biden.

It's not an opinion piece. They are effectively saying its a fact.
I am guessing that the White House is dragging its feet in clearing the book for classified info. That seems the likely reason why there are no quotes. Don't hold your breath waiting for "the most transparent president ever" to cooperate.

If they were given quotes they should have posted quotes. If they weren't given quotes they're posting opinions. They posted no quotes, it's an opinion piece disguised as breaking news.

The NYT's never directly quoted Mr. Bolton from his book. I now wonder if the Times was fed out of context passages or they themselves omitted context to further a narrative.
