I said before that I understood the position of intellectuals who had left the nouvelle droite (e.g. Guillaume Faye & Pierre Vial) because they didn't believe this "metapolitical" approach was yielding fruit. I kind of leaned there and still do but the populist wave sweeping Europe is making me reconsider.
