The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus reached a new milestone after a man in Brazil tested positive for the contagion.


The Brazilian government said on Wednesday that a 61-year-old man was infected and became ill. It was South America’s first confirmed case of the disease, known as COVID-19, which originated in China in December and has since spread across the globe.


“We will now see how this virus behaves in a tropical country in the middle of summer, how its behavior pattern will be,” said Brazil’s Health Minister Luiz Henrique Mandetta in a news conference.

PJL, I'll surprise you here and say that I'm more with you than against on this new virus, this is no pandemic. However, having said that. We often have geopolitical discussions......and what say this virus incubated in one of our US cities rather than China. That we gave out scattered and uneven information thus more part of the problem for other countries rather than a solution. Causing people to be quarantined on cruise ships, for many thousands to die. I have a feeling you ire and anger would be pointed at the US. You spend all your time defending China in here. What gives?

Like most on this forum Ransom , you've got it wrong.....I don't defend China , as much as I rail against fake news and media influence .....regardless of who the fake news is aimed against. I think the US has the world's worst media , and they're creating problems for geopolitical reasons which are questionable.......no one needs it.
