Maxine Waters said California should be the first Democrat primary because of “fancy parties” and big money fundraisers, when she appeared on CNBC earlier today.


“We have candidates who fly out to Los Angeles from everywhere to raise money,” Waters said Thursday on CNBC. “You would have two, three, four at a time in Beverly Hills having dinners and some of our contributors, who are very rich, were holding fancy parties, trying to accommodate the requests for donations and contributions.”

That would be a dumb idea if the Democrats did it. Iowa may not reflect the rest of the country's demographics, but California especially doesn't reflect the rest of the country's demographics, and it isn't a swing state.

California should be first. Iowa shouldn't Caucus. All fall out from the disaster that was the Iowa Democrat Caucus. Remember now...Obama became the first African American to win the Iowa Caucus. It was all good enough for them then. Obama indeed set his name in stone in Iowa and then on his way to win the nomination in 2008, go back and read about it.

Today, Iowa can't be first anymore...…..California should be first...…...the Caucus system doesn't work. That my favorite argument from the Left, that the caucus system itself put certain demographics at a disadvantage. And again.....where is the evidence of that. The Iowa Caucus....ended just like the New Hampshire Primary....ended just like the recent overall polls adored to by the Left. Ended in a slight win for Bernie Sanders over a surging Pete Buttigieg, in 3rd is Warren, in 4th/5th Klobuchar/Biden. The Caucus system works, Iowa should be first like it has for 50 years, California should remain where it is in the cadence, Maxine Waters is an idiot and everyone whether left or right knows that.

First....the electoral college Electorates should defy the vote in their states and vote Clinton. Next. The Electoral College itself should be abolished for a straight up democratic vote much like a two wolves and one sheep discussing what's for lunch. Some states even changed their laws so that whoever wins the national election.....wins their electorates. As if their state has no say at all.

Democrats misunderstand what a Republic truly means on so many levels. Look at this Primary process going down right now. Pete Buttigieg won more delegates and had the delegate lead all night despite Bernie's popular vote lead in Iowa. Democrats completely flabbergasted in the media and on this forum. Utterly confused, conspiracy theories on the election being stolen once again from Bernie. Sanders ended up 2nd in popular vote and delegates, I believe Pete beat him 13-12 in delegates. He claimed victory early and it's working for him. He was a close 2nd on New Hampshire.

I don't care how they choose their candidates. I will caution them they had better think about why things are done the way they are and not disenfranchise their voters in the process of change. See Super Delegates......Don't trust their voters so they can override them.
