I never got the choice. It was supposed to be a lobster bake at the local state park with my favorite local band. I ended up eating chicken or fish at a country club and can't remember a damn thing except I did not get the bill.

in the South the average wedding is 22k. skip the fancy wedding put it in investments with a historically suggested 8% return , thats $220K in 35 years. Add $50 a week to it and its over $500K. something to think about ....

Wedding is a fundraiser though. Sure, I spent money on the wedding but the gifts put me at +9k

If you're a guest at a wedding you absolutely should make sure that your gift AT LEAST covers your plate.
