    My grandfather made me eat oatmeal at seven. I haven’t eaten it since - 50 years ago. I just remember him forcing me to ‘eat your oatmeal’.

    I prefer to chew my own food. I have teeth. No oatmeal. No grits.

    Plus, if you don't put anything on top then it tastes like cardboard or sand.

    I only had a little bit of peanut butter but had a whole jar of almond butter.
    I mixed the two and simmered them down, then added honey and cinnamon as called for.
    Then...no oatmeal...but I had some Honey Nut Cheerios.

    Yum...I rolled them in small logs wrapped in wax paper and put them in the frig to cool.

    Now I have a nice semi-healthy snack for my sweet cravings.

    The wife, of whom is ALWAYS dieting, won't touch them.
