    REpost...

This is a pic of a display section i have decided to include under the 72 inch TV.

It is real hard to find shelving over 12 inches wide, but i did.

The wood needs to be stained and sealed, but I wanted to get it all up and see how it looked overall first.

The first case has an original 1917 Imperial German Luger with flag and shoulder stock. Lugers are exempt from laws concerning shoulder stacks because of their age.

At the far end is an American aviation sextant used in all aircraft from WW2. They used a bubble artificial horizon and ran on D cell batteries.

I have not decided what i want to display in the other two cases, but am thinking about my slide rule collection, and...???

Above it was my foolish attempt to have a Feng Shui sand garden and a display of my four pewter loggerhead turtles. The cats had other plans and kept walking over them and even pulled the palm tree off the turtle display.
Is that suspended ceiling grid under the deep shelf? Home Depot has pine slabs that have been glued/sanded. I think you can find them 24" deep. Or is that what you found?

This pic is from the right side of my desk, 180 degrees away from the other side.

Let's start with my ducks. I found them in Nebraska and love them. Since moving here, I made the willow branches out of dowel rods, those little wooden beads you see on car chair back rests, and some feathers from the hobby store.

To the right of them is " Smilin' Jack ". I got him in Nebraska too through the BudK catalog. He introduces you to the Pirate Corner of my man cave. There you see the obligatory parrot perched on an original gimbaled oil lamp use on ships.
There also hangs a replica flintlock pistol and a battle ready cutlass, but you may not be able to see it as it is further around the corner.

The bible below it all is opened to 1 Kings 3:6-11. This passage is especially important to me as when I was about eight years old I read it. King Solomon was also my age when God said he would give him any gift he would like and he would have it all his life. A a kid my age he asked God for WISDOM (common sense). After I read it, I prayed to God for the very same thing, and feel my prayer was answered.
Hey RNS. Hope all is well.
I see the Benjamin and the Crosman in the picture. Under the white table top is what looks like a Daisy Model 25 slide pump action BB gun. How old is it? There were actually over 50 variants of that BB gun produced from 1914 to 1979. They also produced a Centennial version in 1986. They began production again in 2010. It looks like it's a more modern version but I had to ask.

Funny thing you started this thread. My wife entered my man cave today and commented on how she liked the smell. I asked her why, she said it smells like gun oil. I'm thinkin about starting a new line of cologne.

BINGO! Yes it is a non-firing Daisy 25. I had one as a kid and a dishonest local gun dealer sold me this one and it does not even fire.
I have never been back to his place since.

It turns out not one person in the entire world repairs them.
Evidently they were way too complicated to today's minds.

On some rainy day I will take it apart and see what I can do.

...as for your cologne comment, we were watching Police Academy 2 last night and Tackleberry was putting gun oil on as a cologne before going out to date his gun nut girlfriend.
The right scent really DOES work....but varies with the individual.

The Daisy 25 was notorious for being unreliable. The main reason I've never had any interest in collecting Daisy bb guns is there are so many variations of the same model (the 50 variations of yours is not unique). The Red Ryder is another example.
It shouldn't be too hard to fix however as it seems you have the mechanical skills to tear it down and find the problem.
If you want another Benjamin let me know. I've got 80 or so to choose from. Some brand new in the box from the 70's and 80's.

Once I tell you that we agree to disagree there will be no more discussion between us in the thread so please don't waste your time continuing to argue your points because I will not respond.

    SOLD !!!

I would love a .22 caliber with the bolt and that really big & robust full length pumper.

Just include personally written instruction on how to break it in right.

    My PM is open.

I will follow this up with a PM also, as the subject is off-topic.
