Post Harvey Weinstein: what do you think he’s doing today?

Harvey Weinstein: what do you think he’s doing today? If I understand correctly, he woke up in prison. After a life of wealth and privilege, not to mention sexual assault, rape, forced sexual interactions etc., just has to be awfully upsetting for Mr. Weinstein. If I understand correctly, he woke up in prison. After a life of wealth and privilege, not to mention sexual assault, rape, forced sexual interactions etc., this Hass to be awfully upsetting for Mr. Weinstein. I think that he is in for a rough road in prison.

I reiterate my belief that the state has the absolute obligation to safeguard his person. I think he’s going to have a very very difficult time. What are your thoughts? Keep it clean or you will be banned.

He went to the hospital. Not sure if they kept him overnight or not. Heart palpitations.

Things will be tough on him but they are going to keep him segregated and in protective custody. In addition Weinstein has a ton of money so he will be able to buy his relative safety.

    He should be executed.

I did not know that he went to the hospital. I am against the death penalty.

How does somebody by their safety in prison?

He's going to see a boat load of civil suits. That relative 'wealth' will disappear quickly as he not only will have to defend himself, one loss on a civil suit ( and it sounds like a large number are waiting in the wings) and he will be paying out a lot of money. Absolutely no sympathy from me.

That all being said, I believe anyone who allowed themselves to be coerced into sexual activity on the basis they may not get an acting part or lose their job, made an active choice, and put an intangible above their personal honor and integrity.

And, as posters are want to misconstrue, that statement does not include someone who was attacked or physically forced.

He is settling most of them for $25M and the insurance company is covering that. They will be a few but not enough to bankrupt him.

Well most of the women claim they were threatened not coerced and he was convicted of rape...not coercing...

Harvey Weinstein taken to hospital on way to prison

The judge said he would ask for Weinstein to be held in the infirmary after his lawyers said he needs medical attention following back surgery that was unsuccessful.

Weinstein’s sentencing is scheduled for March 11. He faces up to 29 years in prison.....snip~

More than likely watching TV, and on the phone with people still in communication with him.

Call me ignorant, but what insurance does one buy to pay off on rape charges or charges of this sort? Don't believe EPLI extends this far.

I stand corrected on the use of coerce. The basis of the statement remains.

He will buy protection from the bangers or a Criminal Organization. Doesn't matter. State or Federal Prison.

There would be no coverage for HW but there'd be coverage for the company for negligent supervision, hiring and retention. It s against public policy in Ohio (Yes, I know it's no Ohio) to insure intentional torts. It's a morals clause issue.
