I don't know how off topic my post will be considered but.........I don't care. I have something to say, so I'm just going to say it. I miss sports! It's only been a day or two but in that short time something strange has occurred. A silence has descended upon a section of my house. Not a good silence but one that promises to spill into my area wreaking chaos and havoc. It started last night. I was in my sitting area upstairs when I heard a creak on the stairs......a sigh filled the air and a shadow hovered just in front of me. My eyes darted up but then quickly returned to what I was reading. To my horror the intruder began to talk.......and talk........and talk. My quiet area had been invaded. I was trapped with no where to go. I sat through a lengthy discussion about the NBA, the PGA, the NHL and finally Nascar. My suggestions and recommendations were met with slumped shoulders and a frown.
Is this going to happen every night? This is a crisis of major proportion.
Canceling sports could lead to unintended consequences in homes across the nation. There must be a fix found and soon.

I don't miss the NBA or NCAA basketball. I quit being a fan of both of them several years ago.
For the die hards...

NBA = I could care less. I feel that way about most pro sports.
NCAA Basketball March Madness= My favorite event of the year. I moved to Lexington, KY (one of 9 moves) on almost the same day as Rick Pitino. Coming from New England, I had no idea what college sports was about but immediately became a Wildcat fan. I am definitely disappointed.
NCAA Football has only been high on my list because of Clemson as a regional interest.
