    Be a lady

I found this interesting, and accurate. Society, which includes other women, have standards for women that are both often unachievable and confusing. The issue of weight is a good place to start where there is less politicization, but don't be fat because that's gross... but if you're too thin, you're sick. But that's the size of women in media. But real men don't like women who are that skinny.

It's sort of a ping-pong of expectations which I am sure that men also experience, but it would seem like women experience it on a broader range of issues. Another one might be the idea of a strong female boss; she's strong, experienced and intelligent, but also a shrew and a $#@!. Again, this is also women labeling other women.

Sure, that's why I kept saying that.

But there are also issues that don't apply to men as often or equally, (conservatives, gird your loins about I'm about to trigger you) like stud vs. $#@! when it comes to sex, or rape culture and victim shaming, or working moms...

Discuss each of those if you wish. I think most of them are nonsense but have at it. I'll engage you.

Where do the vile(not all) , men hating, misandry feminists fit into to equation of being a lady or their distaste for other women being ladies.

    It's not just men.

What you said in the OP is the absolute truth. But I think it is true for both men and women. I was a bit over weight for a bit and my family was not happy about it at all. I lost all that weight and they freaked out even worse than when I got fat. Can't win for loosing here.

But I kind of get it in a way. I have a family member who is overweight and I do worry about her health, but not her looks. Of course I keep it to myself though. I have another family member who is a male and he often goes on crash diets. He sometimes loses so much weight that I start to feel concerned for his health. I feel he looks best when he looks healthy.

I know for me when I lose too much weight I don't look that great. I look a bit older, when the face loses some of it's plumpness it looks different.

It could be the case that if the men who like the skinny women they show in magazines and movies were to see them in person they would be put off by them. In the images and on screen they are doctored up. They airbrush these peoples bodies to make them not look sickly. They edit the pictures as well. Most of what we see on tv and in pictures, is not reality.
We are all brothers and sisters in humanity. We are all made from the same dust of stars. We cannot be separated because all life is interconnected.

It seems expectations vary with every individual you talk to.

When I was on-line dating, you would be surprised at how many women defined a " real man ".
Having no idea a REAL MAN defines himself, and does not care which way the wind blows on the subject.

The women I have gotten along with are the same way.
They do not let others define their womanhood.
If they want to stay home and raise kids and maintain a household, they are not lesser persons for doing so.
The liberation of women was supposed to be all about them making their own free choices, not what someone else says they should do.

...and NO, there is not special place in hell for women who did not vote for Hillary.
That statement alone tells me some progressive women are not for free choices at all.

Define yourself, ladies, and walk with your head high.
When it is not allowed to be questioned, it is not science, it is PROPAGANDA
