Trump’s Deficits Are Racing Past Obama’s

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjo.../#60131e874819
After the fallout from one of the worst recessions in history had subsided, deficits began to shrink under Obama and the Republican congress. Republicans and "conservatives" were very vocal about debt and deficits during the Obama presidency. But now that Trump is in power, the Republicans and "conservatives" are no longer as concerned about debt and deficits as they once were. They barely even mention it. And anytime someone tries to bring it up, they just respond with something like BUT OBAMA. Anything to distract from their own hypocrisy and double-standards. But despite their desperate attempts to distract from the issue, the reality of the debt looming in the background remains. And nothing is being done about it, least of all by Trump and his supporters. Indeed, the boomer generation as a whole, on both sides of the political aisle, seem perfectly content to heap jaw-dropping levels of debt on future generations. It's my hope that one day younger people will become cognizant of the massive financial fraud being committed by selfish boomers who hypocritically lecture younger people about financial responsibility. The boomers are by far the most financially irresponsible generation in American history. They don't have a leg to stand on.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.
    --John Adams

    It is terrible, this debt

Dems and Republicans are the same side of the coin. Always have been. Trump has done some decent things, but ultimately, he doesn't represent much a difference from business as usual.

Yes. The intentional destruction of the USD is a bipartisan effort. To hell with both the Dems and Repubs.

The President can only do so much. He merely mentions the possibility of reducing the rate of increase of Social Security, and the libs blow a gasket. And yes, establishment Repubes are less than worthless.

Congress deficits, not Trump’s. Congress has the power of the purse. Civics 101.
When Donald Trump said to protest “peacefully”, he meant violence.

When he told protesters to “go home”, he meant stay for an insurrection.

And when he told Brad Raffensperger to implement “whatever the correct legal remedy is”, he meant fraud.

    War is peace.

    Freedom is slavery.

    Ignorance is strength.

It's not just politicians. Their constituents complain if they impose debt reduction measures. Everyone expects their representatives to bring home the bacon so to speak.

"Reagan took the deficit from $70 billion to $175 billion. Bush 41 took it to $300 billion. Clinton got it to zero. Bush 43 took it from zero to $1.2 trillion. Obama halved it to $600 billion. Trump’s got it back to a trillion." -Politifact
Politifact rates this as mostly true.

Oh Ethereal. It's adorable that you think Republicans really give a crap about deficits. You don't understand. The Republican philosophy is "every man for himself." Do whatever it is you can get away with as along as you end up being rich. Fill your pockets while you can. F-ck all those naive fools who think attaining office is a noble pursuit. Its all about living for now. Climate change? Seriously?! WTF would I care about climate change? I will be dead by the time that comes around. F-ck my children. F-ck my grandchildren. Debt? hahahahaha Thats just something we republicans use as an excuse to attack naive democrats.

I am not saying Democrats dont suck ass in other ways. They do. But not when it has come to deficits. Republicans own that problem. Now more than ever before. A trillion? seriously?

“Just say the election was corrupt and leave the
rest to me and the Republican congressmen”
    --Donald Trump

Speaking to the Justice Department on Dec. 27, 2020. Conversation memorialized in then-acting Deputy Attorney General Richard Donoghue’s contemporaneous notes.

Yes we do. You are a misinformed hack. Obama added $9 trillion to the national debt. He almost doubled the debt he started with.
