    The reason for the rates is 2 fold! TORT reform problems abd people don't know what the care costs.

    Thus the profits are eaten up by insurance premiums, and people don't care because it only cost them a small co pay!

    You mean to expand competition, increase tax deductions for business providing incurance, use tax credits for private indivuals that purchaces their own insurance, allow for organizations to group together to get buying power, and set up free clinics ataffed by Nurse Practioners, PA's and interns! and of course TORT reform

    Yeah! that would have lowered cost increase the number of insurance, and not cost the government a dime! The Dems would never go for that!

    The ACA would never have been mandated if Obama wanted to reduce cost since he needed big pharm and health insurance companies to back him to get this through congress. It goes to show you how pathetic and weak our government really is and who really has the power behind the curtain.
