The shut down is specifically to stop the spread of the virus . If people do it , the shut down will only be short term.....if they don't , the longer , and more expensive it becomes.

Sure it does. Do we stop our society, risk a depression, and give up our liberties when other $#@! happens everyday? No we don't. So why now? How come no one did $#@! about the swine flu? Or sars? That $#@! was supposed to kill everyone too. This is being politically weaponized.
